Terms of Service
Lexpoint is a technology platform: software and educational tools for Canadian immigration information.
Disclaimer: Lexpoint offers software and educational tools—not legal or immigration advice. Authorized professionals (e.g. lawyers, RCICs) provide regulated services under their own agreements, not through self-serve tools alone.

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “user”) and Lexpoint Inc. (“Lexpoint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Canadian technology company registered at 1000 Innovation Drive, Suite 500, Ottawa, Ontario K2K 3E7, regarding your access to and use of our websites, software, and educational immigration information tools (collectively, the “Services”).
1.1 Services Covered
These Terms govern your use of our software and platform services, made available as educational tools and resources. Unless we say otherwise in a separate written agreement, the items below are informational and educational tooling, not retained legal or immigration advice from Lexpoint Inc.:
- ImmiReport — Software-based educational immigration assessment tools for informational purposes only
- ImmiCare — Educational business immigration information and compliance resources
- ImmiCoach — Educational immigration application information and guidance tools
- ImmiWatch — Educational immigration policy monitoring and information updates
- Free Tools — Educational NOC Navigator, CLB Navigator, CRS Calculator, FSW Calculator, Wage Navigator, and other informational tools
Where Lexpoint offers or facilitates connections to licensed professionals, those relationships are subject to separate terms with those professionals or their firms, in addition to these Terms where applicable.
1.2 Acceptance
By accessing or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. We may update these Terms at our discretion by revising the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1.3 Nature of Lexpoint; Technology Platform
Lexpoint Inc. is a technology and software company. We provide digital tools, applications, and related platform infrastructure to prospective immigrants, employers, schools, and other users for whom the Services are designed, and—where applicable—to licensed immigration professionals for use in their practices. Lexpoint is not a law firm or a regulated immigration consultancy in its own name, and use of the Services does not, by itself, make Lexpoint Inc. your lawyer, RCIC, or representative.
Nothing in these Terms—and no feature of our public educational tools alone—constitutes legal advice, immigration advice for consideration, or regulated representation by Lexpoint Inc. as a technology provider. If you purchase or receive regulated professional services, they are provided by authorized individuals or entities under agreements and rules that govern those professionals.
1.4 Licensed Professionals and Platform Use
If you are a lawyer, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), or other person authorized under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and applicable provincial or territorial law to provide immigration advice or representation, you alone are responsible for your professional conduct, regulatory compliance, supervision requirements, and client relationships. Lexpoint provides software and tools; it does not supervise your professional judgment or your compliance with your regulator.
If you are not authorized to provide immigration advice or representation for consideration, you must not use the Services to perform regulated immigration services, to hold yourself out as an RCIC or lawyer, or to evade IRPA section 91(2) or other applicable rules.
2. Educational Purpose Disclaimer
2.1 Educational Use Only
All Services are provided for educational and informational purposes only. Our tools, assessments, calculators, and resources are designed to provide general information about Canadian immigration processes and requirements. They are not intended to:
- Provide legal advice or immigration advice
- Replace consultation with licensed professionals
- Guarantee immigration success or eligibility
- Constitute professional immigration services
- Create any attorney-client or consultant-client relationship
2.2 Educational Tools vs. Professional Services
These self-serve educational tools do not constitute legal advice, immigration advice, or professional consultation from Lexpoint Inc. Our free Services are software-based educational tools that provide general information only. They are not a substitute for advice from an authorized professional.
Regulated advice and representation: Immigration legal advice and regulated representation for consideration may only be provided by persons authorized under IRPA (for example, lawyers in good standing with a law society, RCICs in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, and other persons described in IRPA section 91(2)). Where Lexpoint facilitates access to professional services, those services are provided by authorized licensees or regulated entities under separate agreements and professional rules—not by these Terms alone and not by simply browsing or using the educational tools.
For advice tailored to your situation, you must consult:
- A licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in good standing
- A lawyer in good standing who practises immigration law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Another person authorized under IRPA section 91(2), as applicable
2.3 No Professional Relationship with Lexpoint
Use of our free educational Services does not create an attorney–client relationship, RCIC–client relationship, or any other professional relationship with Lexpoint Inc. as a technology company. Such relationships arise only through direct engagement with a licensed lawyer, RCIC, or other authorized person under an agreement and rules that apply to that professional—not merely by creating an account or using Lexpoint software.
2.4 Where to Obtain Legal or Immigration Advice
For your specific circumstances, consult a professional who is authorized to practise in your matter. Verify government requirements with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and other official sources. Lexpoint tools are ancillary information only.
3. IRPA Section 91(2) Compliance
3.1 Authorized Practice Only
Under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) Section 91(2), only authorized parties may provide immigration advice or representation for consideration. Our Services are not immigration advice or representation. Only the following are authorized to provide immigration advice for consideration:
- Lawyers and paralegals who are members in good standing of a law society of a province
- Notaries who are members in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Québec
- Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) who are members in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants
- Other persons authorized under IRPA Section 91(2)
3.2 No Unauthorized Practice
Our Services, as offered by Lexpoint as a platform, do not replace retained advice from an authorized professional. Lexpoint provides educational information and software only. You must not use the Services to provide immigration advice or representation for consideration unless you are authorized under IRPA and applicable law to do so. Users seeking immigration advice for their own cases must consult authorized professionals listed in section 3.1.

13. Suspension, Termination, and Enforcement
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misrepresented your professional status or credentials, engaged in unauthorized practice, used the Services in breach of IRPA or applicable professional rules, or used the Services in a manner that could expose Lexpoint, users, or third parties to legal, regulatory, or reputational harm. We may remove content, revoke API or account access, and cooperate with regulators and law enforcement where permitted by law. No failure or delay in enforcing these Terms waives our right to do so later. Upon termination, you must cease using the Services immediately unless we agree otherwise in writing. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, unless we choose to pursue proceedings in your jurisdiction. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

Lexpoint is a technology platform. These tools are for educational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice, immigration advice, or regulated representation by Lexpoint Inc. For your situation, consult a lawyer in good standing, an RCIC in good standing with the College, or another person authorized under IRPA.
Where you separately retain an authorized professional (for example through a law firm, consultancy, or individual licensee), immigration advice and representation are provided under that professional’s agreement and regulatory obligations—not by browsing or using Lexpoint software alone. Independent professionals listed or reachable through Lexpoint are not controlled by Lexpoint; verify credentials directly.
