RetentionWhen your people ask to stay

Keep the people you trained.

When an international employee asks for help staying in Canada, a licensed firm on Lexpoint, today Immigratic, can tell you what your company can offer and what it commits to, under its own agreement. If you go ahead, the application runs in Case Studio, Lexpoint’s case workspace, where your employee and their case team work from one file, at Immigratic’s rates.

Why it stalls

Most employers want to help. They just don’t know how.

HR is not an immigration team. So when a good employee asks for support, the request sits, and the employee starts looking elsewhere.

“We don’t know what we can offer.”

If you engage Immigratic, outside the subscription, its licensed consultants screen for employer-supported routes, with each person’s consent, and tell you in writing which ones may fit, and what each one asks of the company.

“We’re worried about liability.”

A reference letter states facts you already know. Where support does carry commitments, such as a job offer for a nomination or an LMIA, Immigratic explains them before you sign anything.

“We don’t have time to run it.”

You confirm the job and sign the letters. If your employee retains Immigratic, its licensed consultants run the application with them.

Replacing a trained employee costs more than keeping one.

A new search, new training and, for many roles, a new work permit. Supporting the person you already have is usually the shorter path.

Who does what

Their case stays theirs.

Your employee’s application lives in their own account. You see it only if they share their timeline link: milestones and dates, with no names or documents.

How it works

From a request to a decision, in five steps.

  1. 1

    Your employee asks

    From their own account.

  2. 2

    The firm screens the options

If you engage a licensed firm, today Immigratic, its consultants check which routes may fit the person and the role, starting with the OINP worksite check.

  3. 3

    You agree the scope

Immigratic’s rate for each application, in a written agreement, before any work starts.

  4. 4

The case runs in Case Studio

Your employee and their case team work from one file. You sign the employment letter from your workspace.

  5. 5

    The government decides

Ontario or IRCC makes the decision. Every step stays dated in the case.

Who is the client

Clear lines, so nobody is surprised.

Every matter says who the client is before work starts. It protects your company, and it protects your employee.

Your company is the client

LMIAs, employer forms for a nomination and work permit job offers. Immigratic acts for your company.

Your employee is the client

Their own permit, nomination or PR application lives in their own account. You see only what they choose to share.

Both, only with written consent

If one matter serves you both, Immigratic checks for conflicts before any work starts, explains them to each of you in writing, and acts for both only if you both agree in writing and it can act for both without compromising either.

Questions

Retention questions.

For an LMIA, your company pays. For your employee’s own application, either. Immigratic’s rates are agreed in writing first. Your employee is the client for their own application and can choose their own representative.

A reference letter states facts you already know. Some support does come with commitments: a job offer for a provincial nomination or an LMIA includes obligations about the role and the wage. Immigratic explains them before you sign anything.

Only what they choose to share. They can send you their timeline link, which shows milestones and dates, with no names or documents. Their documents, forms and messages stay in their case.

They can keep them. Immigratic handles your company’s side, such as the employment letter and any employer forms, and works with their representative where the two meet.

It depends on the program and on government processing times. The case timeline shows each step and an estimated completion date as the case moves.

Be ready when your people ask to stay.
